Paris Metro
Taking the parisian metro is often the fastest ways to get from one monument to the other during a short stay in the city. Fourteen lines (+ 2 "bis lines": 3bis and 7bis), and more than 300 stations, no place in Paris is less than 1,600 feet away from a station.
The underground network is completed by 5 lines of RER that extend to the suburb in Île-de-France and cross the whole city in record time. It is very practical to reach places on the outskirts of Paris: airports, Versailles or Disneyland Paris.
